Alfred Phillips

Mr. Alfred Phillips is a leader in the field of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) having worked for over 28 years in the construction sector and petrochemicals industry.  With the professional and personal experience he has garnered over his long and rewarding career as a Mechanical Engineer, he now runs a successful consultancy company that provides key services to industry in the field of Safety such as conducting Risk Assessments, Safety Interventions and implementing Safety Management Systems.

In addition to being a Facilitator for SHE Training programmes, Mr. Phillips is an Auditor in Process Safety Management (PSM), Process Hazard Analysis Leader, Lead Auditor in BSI OHSS 18001 and Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 14001.

Mr. Phillips is a registered engineer with the Board of Engineering of Trinidad & Tobago (BOETT), a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad & Tobago (APETT), a professional member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), as well as the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

Mr. Phillips hold an MSC in Production Engineering and Management and a BSC. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies. 

 

Allan Ramnarine

Mr.  Allan  Ramnarine  brings  a  wealth  of  operational  competence  in  leading,  promoting,  implementing  and  managing  Quality,  Health,  Safety  and  Environmental  Management  Systems.  His  experiences  has  spanned  over  20  years’ in the  construction,  manufacturing  and  petrochemical  industry  sectors.

During  this  time,  Mr  Ramnarine  has  successfully  executed  work  for  a  variety  of  multinational  companies  in  both  upstream  and  downstream  regions  while  actively  managing  all  aspects  of  contracts,  from  proposals  through  project  execution,  for  project  activities  at  onshore  and  offshore  facilities. 

Additionally,  Mr  Ramnarine  has  also  worked  alongside  client  project  teams  to  develop  and  successfully  manage  contract  HSSE  programs  including  construction  management  activities;  bid  and  contractor  evaluations;  conducting  workforce  HSSE  training;  as  well  as  QHSSE  audits,  performance  and  compliance  reviews.

Mr  Ramnarine  holds  a  Master  of  Business  Administration  from  the  Australian  Institute  of  Business;  a  BSc  in  Industrial  Engineering  from  the  University  of  the  West  Indies; and additional training  in  ASQ - Certified  Manager  of  Quality\Organizational  Excellence  and  RABQSA - OHSAS  18001:2007  -  Occupational  Health  &  Safety  Lead  Auditor programs.



Anthony Roberts 

Anthony Roberts retired  as the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager at the Power Generation Company of Trinidad & Tobago in 2012.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry (U.W.I) a Diploma in Education (U.W.I) a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible /Theology, a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Occupational  Environmental Safety and Health (U.W.I).

Mr Roberts was a secondary school teacher for seven years. He was involved in the electricity industry in Trinidad and Tobago since 1980 working as Chemist, Environmental Engineer and as the Manager for Health Safety and Environment.

He has experience in the implementation of management systems for Environment and Health and Safety being responsible for the implementation of these systems at the company. He has participated in and led several internal audits of HSE systems and worked with external auditors.

He has developed and conducted training in several areas relating to HSE and presented papers at CARILEC.



Balraj Mohan

Mr. Balraj Mohan is an HSSE Professional who has over 18 years experience in the Petro-chemical and Services Industries.

Mr. Mohan has a wealth of hands on experience in oil field operation and contractor management programs which comes from his role as an Operations Lead in an Oil Exploration and Production Company, as well as in the development, implementation, auditing and assessing of effective accident prevention programs in his pursuits of HSSE Management Excellence within several companies locally and regionally.

He graduated with honors from London’s University of Greenwich, in the field of Occupational Safety, Health and the Environment and is a qualified Lead Auditor in the Quality Management System 9001-2008 Standard.

As a team member within a conglomerate which operates throughout the Caribbean, Mr. Mohan is affiliated to the group’s Environmental Management Team with the responsibility to develop, implement and monitor an Environmental Management System. At the same time as part of a wider organization initiative aimed at enhancing the Group’s HSSE Performance Mr. Mohan holds a Leadership position in one of the regional company documenting, implementing, monitoring and assessing the HSSE Management System and several layers of barrier which ensures a seamless interface between people, plant and process.

Crispin Alleyne 

Mr. Crispin Alleyne has over 25 years experience in the safety and health career field and has been certified since 2003 by the USA and internationally accepted Board of Certified Safety Professional based in Chicago www.bscp.org.

Mr. Alleyne has served as a regulator with the Ministry of Energy, and has held positions as a HSE Team Leader and HSE Manager with major multinational organization in the Oil, Gas and Construction sectors both locally and international and during that period has conducted numerous Health and Safety and Environmental Management Audits As a consultant he has developed Safety Management systems for clients in the Oil, Gas and Manufacturing Sector and managed multimillion dollars projects.

Crispin is an active member of the Trinidad and Tobago Safety Council and the American Society of Safety Engineers.


Dayanand Harridass 

Mr. Dayanand Harridass has over 15 years extensive work experience within the Oil and Gas Sector as an HSE Professional.  His experience spans the Manufacturing, Construction and Marine sectors and the Petrochemical Industry, both upstream and downstream.

His wealth of experience in the Oil and Gas Sector has empowered him with a firm understanding of the drivers for demonstrably excellent standards in Health, Safety and Envrionmental Management.   Mr. Harridass has successfully provided HSE Consultancy Services for over 40 organisations in the development and implementation of HSE Management Systems that meet internationally accredited Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements, including OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

Mr. Harridass holds a MSc in Safety and Risk Management from the Heriot-Watt University.   He also holds the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health along with the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Environmental Management, both from the UK.   In addition, he is a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 45001.

Dayanand is a Graduate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and a Full Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

  Deonanan Jagdip

Deonanan Jagdip

Mr. Jagdip is an internationally recognized Health and Safety Consultant and a certified Personal and Leadership Success Coach Member of the John Maxwell Leadership Team USA. He is also a Crisis Management qualified Business Continuity Manager, a UK qualified Fire Engineer.

Mr. Jagdip holds a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Greenwich University and is also a qualified and registered Chartered Health and Safety Consultant with the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR) in England.

He has successfully managed Behavioural Safety Change programmes for global methanol giant Methanex Corporation and other contractors through the Du Pont STOP for Safety, Behavioural Science Technology (BST) CORE programme and the Scotland based Keil Centre Human Factors Programme and served on the first elected Executive in the position of Caribbean Branch Secretary of the UK based Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).



Fedrison Jagessar

Mr. Fedrison Jagessar experience spans a decade of involvement starting with  areas such as environmental management with the management of a Land Farming Project from 1996 to 1998 (Neal and Massy and Kaizen a Canadian based Firm together with the Alberta Research Council for the GORTT). Projects such as the pit remediation (for Trinmar Limited) at Parrylands and at Trinmar’s Main Tank Battery in Point Fortin added to his experience in environmental management

He is a Certified STOW HSE Management System Assessor/Auditor II, an Accredited Advanced Safety Auditor with Extensive Safety Training (OSHA General Industry, Construction, Process Safety, and Hazwoper) and is experienced with (ISO 9000, ISO14000 and OHSAS 18002-2000) Management Systems, Implementation and Auditing Procedures. He is also an authorized US Department of Labour Outreach instructor/trainer for the General Industry Safety Program since 2003.  Mr. Jagessar has worked with numerous companies both locally and internationally having close working relationships and contacts with several Canadian companies

Mr. Jagessar holds an MSc in Environmental Management, an MSc in Agricultural Economics and a BSc in Industrial Management from the University of the West Indies.

Geetram Ramsamooj

Mr. Geetram Ramsamooj is qualified in integrated management and is well respected internationally.  He has experience in construction, subway and tunneling, mining, IT and telecommunication, policing, prisons, manufacturing, schools, insitituion, hospitals, government offices and petroleum (offshore).

With over 30 years experience, he is an External Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 adn OHSAS 18001 and Smart-ISO Coordinated Management System (CMS) Lead Auditor and Instructor.  His experience/skills include management systems - ISO 9001, 14001, 31000, OHSAS 18001, risk assessment, industrial technology, health, safety, environment, psychology, industrial relations and conflict resolution and technical writing.  Mr. Ramsamooj is currently a Senior Executive, Consultant and Professional Trainer in Health, Safety, Organizational Safety Culture and Change Strategy.  He is a training provider for Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety and Technical Standards and Safety Authority, Ontario.

He holds an MSc in Safety and a BSc in Industrial Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  Geet brings innovation, quality and motivation for excellence to all levels and positions of an organization.



 Glenroy London 

 
    

Mr. Glenroy London has been involved in Health and Safety promotion in a career that spans more than thirty years. His career diversity ranges from regulatory; to private oil and gas; educational; as well as international.  During his illustrious career, Mr. London held positions such as Regulatory Engineer for the Ministry of Energy, Facilities and Local content/fabrication manager for bpTT; worked on the Cannon Ball Next Gas project in Trinidad/USA.

He considers his core expertise to be Enterprise Wide Risk Management Systems, Strategic Risk Management, Advanced Safety Auditing, HSE Project Management, Strategic Thinking and Root Cause Incident Investigations. Mr. London is currently knowledgeable on ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Management Systems. Academically Mr. London holds a BSc Honors in Mechanical Engineering as well as a MSc. in Production Engineering and Management, both from the University of the West Indies.

Mr. London also holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing with Andrews University, USA and an MSc Strategic Planning with Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh Business School, UK. His extensive experience in Oil and Gas Management Systems as Strategic Project Manager allows him to effectively provide advice on closing the gaps in HSE performance management systems. He is a strong advocate for improving the safety culture and strongly believes it is critical to the sustainable competitive advantage of any organization globally.



 Joanna Hamid

Ms. Joanna Hamid is academically qualified, professionally trained and certified in the area of Occupational Health, Safety & Environment [HSE] Management Systems development, implementation and auditing coupled with sound industry knowledge and 10 years practical HSE work experience.

Her Professional qualifications include “Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (BSI OHSAS 18001) Auditor Conversion Training”;  “Advanced Environmental Management Systems Auditor Course (ISO 14001) and “UK National Certificate in Health & Safety (NEBOSH)” has been supported by a strong academic foundation, inclusive of a Bachelors degree in sciences, a Masters degree in Environmental Management and a graduate Diploma in Education from the University of the West Indies.

Ms. Hamid work experience for the past ten (10) years includes the development and implementation of HSE Management Systems for a number of diverse organizations including those wishing to pre-qualify for up-stream Oil and Gas producers.  A large component of this work experience has been in the auditing of HSE systems for both client requirements and certification (ISO 14001) purposes.

Complimenting this work experience is that of adjunct HSE lecturer at The University of Trinidad & Tobago in Engineering Diploma Programs and Professional Development Programs as well as NEBOSH certificate courses.

Kimberley Xavier-Hill

Mrs. Kimberley Xavier-Hill has seamlessly integrated her educational back ground in Management Science with experience in Occupational Health Safety and Environment (HSE) continually demonstrating the highest standards of HSE leadership. She has worked in the field of HSE within various multi-national oil and gas industry companies such as Nabors Drilling, BHP Billiton, Baker Hughes and BPTT holding various HSE Positions for the last 13 years. She holds an Associates in Management Science, Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick and Masters Degree in Occupational Health & Safety from The University of Greenwich.
She has both managed and delivered HSE support in various positions such as HSE Manager, HSE Technical Advisor and Programs Advisor. She holds a broad knowledge of HSE principles, practices and procedures with a thorough understanding of regulations and the regulatory process. Her HSE Experience ranges from: Designing and implementing HSE Management Systems and Programs, development of safety plans, facilitating incident / accident investigations, conducting HSE audits, assessment of compliance with regulatory and operations management system, delivery of safety leadership development programs and HSSE training programs such as behavioral based safety.


 Klenworth Jones



Mr. Klenworth Jones is currently employed at the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards as an Inspector of Metrology providing delivery of measurement and calibration services, for weighing devices used in a wide range of industrial applications.

Mr. Jones is a qualified HSE Consultant with Premier Quality Services Limited, the training consultancy subsidiary of the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS). As a consultant his focus is on the development and delivery of in house training programs, provision of OSH Act compliance audits, the preparation of OH&S policies and risk assessment services.  Mr. Jones also serves as a tutor at the College of Health, Environmental and Safety Studies (CHESS Trinidad LTD) delivering occupational health and safety management modules for the NEBOSH National General Certificate and Diploma programmes. Mr. Jones recently completed a 5 month attachment with the Technical Services Division of the Newcastle City Council as a Management Systems Officer, assisting with managing the requirements of environmental, quality and health and safety management systems. He also completed a review of the occupational health and safety performance of the Highways and Traffic Signals department of the Council.

Mr Jones is the holder of an MSc (Dist) Environment Health and Safety from the University of Sunderland. He is a graduate member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Leeann Jairamsingh

Ms. Leeann Jairamsingh has over ten years experience in the areas of Health, Safety, and Environmental and Analytical field.

Her work experience includes the development and implementation of HSE Management System in the Construction sector together with service and consultancy type companies. Ms. Jairamsingh held various positions with WBI Construction Services Ltd, Tiger Tanks Trinidad, Kaizen Environmental Services Company Ltd, SM Jaleel Company Ltd and a few other companies.  At present Ms. Jairamsingh lectures Health and Safety at the University of the West Indies (south campus) and does HSE consultancy work.

Ms. Jairamsingh holds a BSc. in Occupational Safety Health & Environment from the University of Greenwich (UK), the UK National Certificate in Health & Safety (NEBOSH), Lead Auditor ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 certificates, as well as various Diplomas in Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health and Science Technician.

Mr. Mark Superville with a combination of over twenty (20) years in the field of Occupational Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) Experience in which, has worked both in the private sector for major international and local companies and in the public sector for ministries of government (Inter-alia Operational, Regulatory, Compliance, Advisory, Lecturing, Training and Consultation) to meet and exceed local Safety, Health and Environmental Legislation, International Standards and Best Practice.

His professional qualifications include a MSc. in Occupational Safety and Health Management from the Loughborough University UK, National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health with Credit, NEBOSH Level 1 Diploma, NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety and NEBOSH General Certificate.

Natalie Ramdass

Strategically qualified with a Masters in Occupational Environment, Safety and Health (with distinction) from the University of the West Indies, Ms Ramdass also possesses a Masters of Business Administration (with distinction) degree from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business (UWI). Additionally, she holds a BSc. in Biochemistry and Biology (with first class honours) from the University of the West Indies along with NEBOSH certification.

Ms. Ramdass’ breadth of multi-industry qualifications includes diplomas in Process Plant Technology (formerly PPO) in Chemical Processes and Petroleum Operations from the City and Guilds via the Trinizuela Technical and Vocational College. She also holds qualifications in the field of Total Quality Management which include Certificates in Applied Quality Management and Effective Quality Systems Documentation and Implementation, from the Caribbean Institute for Quality. Certified as a Quality Management Systems Senior/Lead Auditor, she also has certification and skills in project management and strategic teaching.

Ms. Ramdass has successfully designed, implemented, managed and continuously improved HSE Management Systems at various organizations which were STOW certified.  

Nathlee Aleong

Ms. Aleong has 20 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) which has made her a firm believer that the effective and efficient implementation of a HSE Management system can have a positive influence on the safety climate and culture within any organisation.

As the HSE Administrator and HSE Coordinator (Ag) of a leading local Oil and Gas Company, she is part of the HSE Management team that strategically and effectively manage the development, implementation, monitoring, measuring and continual improvement of the Company HSE Management Systems. 

Her academic qualifications include an Associate of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering, Bachelor of Science Degree in OHS&E (University of Greenwich), Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management (COSTATT), and a Master of Science in Safety and Risk Management (Heriot-Watt University).

She is also a part time lecturer at Cirpiani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies and School of Higher Education (in association with Heriot-Watt University) for HSE Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Science programmes as well as Research Methods.



Patrick Jacob

Mr. Patrick Jacob has held managerial and consulting positions in the energy industry for the past twenty-nine (29) years.  He performs annual API Spec Q1 9th Edition and ISO 14000 audits for a leading Oil and Gas Drilling and Well servicing company.

His portfolio also includes “Process Safety Management” (RMEC, Colorado); “Dangerous Cargo and Jetty operations” (Olaf Olsen via NGC) and “Risk Based Thinking” by Delphi Consultants.  His cadre of competence include Lead Assessor for Quality Management Systems since 1993, and trained  IRCA Lead Assessor for ISO 9001:2015 Q.M.S (Quality Management System). He is a trained auditor for OHSAS 18001 HSEMS since 2003.

His academic achievements include a BSc in Pure and Applied Physics (1986) from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland (2006). Patrick’s desire is to apply his skills, knowledge and experience to make a significant difference to the HSE Management Systems of SMEs in the Energy Sector of Trinidad and Tobago.



Rajesh Kandhai



Mr. Rajesh Kandhai has been involved in Health and Safety for more than ten years now. His career has been quite diverse ranging from regulatory; to private oil and gas; educational; as well as international.  Mr. Kandhai has held positions such as Environmental Inspector for the EMA, Operations Environmental Advisor for bpTT; worked on the Shah Deniz Gas project in Azerbaijan and assisted in the emergency response efforts in the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Currently he is the HSE Manager at the University of the West Indies.

His passion for HSE is also demonstrated in his commitment to adult education; he was heavily involved in the conduct of community environmental training in Guayaguayare and Mayaro for more than three years and is currently a lecturer for the University of Greenwich BSC and MSC programmes in Occupational Health and Safety.

He considers his core expertise to be Management Systems, Auditing, Environmental Management and Incident Investigations.  He is also an ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 lead auditor. Academically Mr. Kandhai holds a BSC Honours in Zoology and Botany as well as a MSc. in Environmental Management, from the University of the West Indies. Having developed extensive experience in Management Systems, he is now able to effectively bridge the gap between Environmental and Health and Safety management.


Robert Parris

Mr. Parris has over twenty-seven (27) years of professional experience in the practice of safety and health. He has successfully developed, directed and implemented Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems (EHSMS) Environmental, Health and Safety programs for over 20 firms in various industries including, Petroleum and Gas Production, Telecommunications, Construction, Manufacturing, Retail, Postal Service, Financial and Transportation with staffing levels between 15 and 1200 employees.

He has been a member of a Risk Review Team, responsible for biennial risk audits used for insurance evaluation purposes, a member of a PAHO/WHO directed team that successfully conducted a vulnerability analysis for water supply and sanitation systems and a past member of the Emergency Planning Committee of the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Health Authority.

Mr. Parris holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmnment.

Roger Andrews

Roger Andrews

Mr. Roger Andrews has worked with bp Trinidad and Tobago Limited Liability oil and gas Company (bpTT LLC) for over 28 years and has 13 years working experience as a Production Operator offshore.

His passion and drive for Health, Safety and Environmental management thereafter, allowed him to serve as an HSE Advisor; Control of Work Coach – commonly called CoW, CoW Auditor and CoW Training Specialist for 15 years and 3 months collectively.

He was a member of the design and implementation team for CoW in bpTT LLC and also supervised CoW Training on behalf of bp TT LLC at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. Conducting formal CoW Audits, Hazard Identification and Task Based Risk Assessments (HITRA) Workshops and Accident and Incident investigations therein formed an integral part of managing work safely everytime.

Academically, Mr. Roger Andrews possesses a BSc. in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment, MSc. in Occupational Hygiene from the University of Greenwich -UK and he has completed the A1 Assessor Certification from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) – UK.  He is also a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

Mr. Andrews experience and qualifications in the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) field coupled with his accommodating character, has made him a genuine occupational HSE professional; with the knowledge that learning is unending and likewise sharing. The huge and committed effort required by the relevant persons to reduce accidents and incidents at all workstations remains his mantra.

 

Shazara Ali Bocas

Shazara Ali Bocas has been working as a health, safety and environmental practitioner for the past 10 years, within the construction, transport, chemical and oil and gas sectors. She currently owns and operates a HSE Consultancy company, providing support to local businesses and is also a Lecturer for the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Her experience includes the development and implementation of robust HSE management systems, compliance monitoring, risk management, contractor safety management and an extensive auditing background, including the development and implementation of audit programmes and protocols. In her career, she has always taken a particular interest in due diligence and corporate responsibility.

She holds a MSc. in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment from the University of Greenwich as well as a Double Major BSc. in Biochemistry and Environmental and Natural Resource Management from the University of the West Indies. To complement these, Mrs. Ali Bocas has completed several professional training courses such as Lead Auditor training in OHSAS 18001:2007 (RABQSA), Total Quality Management, ISO 14001, incident investigation and emergency response.

Shazara is currently a member of two professional organizations.   She is a member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ) and a Graduate Member of the Institutuion of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).  Moving forward with her continuous development, she is currently working toward attaing Chartered member status.   She also serves as an Executive Committee member of IOSH's Caribbean Branch, volunteering her time for the advancement of health and safety in the Caribbean.

Shazmin Tricia Aziz

Ms. Shazmin Tricia Aziz possesses over ten years’ experience in the Health, Safety and Environmental field with a focus on Occupational Hygiene.   As a management level HSEQ professional with her previous employer her responsibilities included the implementation, maintenance and auditing for Occupational Safety and Health, Process Safety, Environmental Management and the development and implementation of Industrial Hygiene Systems and HSEQ Objectives.

Ms. Aziz is a qualified HSE Consultant with SOH Consulting Ltd and an Affiliate Member with the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).    As a consultant her focus is on the preparation of OH&S policies and Risk Assessment Services, Provision of OSH Act Compliance Audits and the Completion of Workplace Exposure Assessments for various organizations within the Energy, Construction and Manufacturing Sector. 

Her qualifications include a MSc. in Occupational Hygiene, BSc. in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment both from the University of Greenwich and an Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering from COSTAATT.  She also completed BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Certified Lead Auditor Courses.

Sherman Ragbir

Mr. Ragbir has over 12 years in HSEQ encompassing various sectors including construction, oil and gas, marketing and manufacturing, where he held position as HSE Manager, HSEQ Co-ordinator, HSE Advisor and HSE Specialist Trainer.

Locally he has worked for the HCL Group of Companies, OSHES Limited Prestige Management Services Limited and RGIT Montrose. In recent years has work for Petrofac, one of the worlds largest training and consultancy company. There he has undertaken many HSE projects for companies such as bpTT (Control of Work) Atlantic LNG (Safety Village) BGTT HSE Training and hundreds of other companies.

His passion for HSE is evident today with his contribution towards the development of the TTS 621:2007 requirements for Contractors Safety Management System. His biggest challenge to-date was working on the Harweel Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Plant costing over 2 billion US dollars in Oman, Middle East. It is no surprise that he has successfully completed his HSE responsibilities within budget and on time.

Mr. Ragbir holds a BSc in Occupational, Safety, Health and Environment from the University of Greenwich.

Steve David

Mr Steve David is an experienced Environmental, Health Professional with 24 years experience on construction projects for civil, power, and process plants.   He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with a BSc in Safety Engineering from Arizona State University and a MSc in Environmental and Occupational Health Science from Hunter College.  He has experience in design, implementation and management of EHS Programs.  He has conducted employee, supervision and management training in Accident Prevention through Behavior Modification Innovative Techniques and Continuous Improvement Principles.

Mr. David has implemented Zero Accident Programs with great success, achieving notable milestones in EHS performances.   He incorporates Company, Client and Customer's procedures under all regulatory agencies, laws and regulations.  He audits and monitors contractor and subcontractor safety programs and provides guidance where necessary.

Mr David also has experience with Hazardous Materials and has developed and monitored programs for their evaluation and analysis.   Additionally, he has implemented Zero Accidents Program with great success, achieving notable milestones in EHS performances.  He incorporates Company, Client and Customers procedures' under all regulatory agencies, laws and regulations. He audits and monitors contractor and subcontractor safety programs and provides guidance where necessary.


Yandesh Parasramsingh

A graduate of The University of The West Indies, Yandesh Parasramsingh possesses the unique combination of Academic Qualifications, Practical Field Experience in HSE (Oil & Gas, On and Offshore, Process Plant, Water Treatment, Manufacturing  and Support services), Lecturing and Auditing,

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Parasramsingh has worked in diverse companies, acquiring a level of competency and experience that quite effectively complements his HSE Management system implementation and auditing skills.


Farzan Rajab

Mr. Farzan Rajab has 14 years experience in the field of Health Safety and Environment and has worked in a diverse range of environments which include construction, oil and gas, marine, manufacturing and proves plant.  Mr. Rajab is currently the HSE Manger for the Pres-T-Con Group of Companies a member of the Neal and Massy Group.

He is the holder of a BSc in Occupational, Safety, Health and Environment from the University of Greenwich, a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety UK.

Mr. Rajab is also a certified OSHA trainer in Construction, General and Maritime Industry Standards, a certified Mobile Crane Inspector form the Crane Institute of America, and a certified Scaffold Inspector from Safeyy and Access Limited UK.



Gail Montilva



Mrs. Gail Montilva has over seven years experience in the HSE field within the Oil and Gas Industry ranging from Construction Projects to Operating Facilities.  Since 2001, she has worked on key projects in the Oil and Gas Industry within Trinidad including Atlantic LNG Trains 2,3, and 4; Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited and Petrotrin Pointe A Pierre Refinery Gasoline Optimisation Projects.

During the course of her career she has developed some key skill competencies in the development of integrated management systems, auditing, and performance measurement techniques.  Mrs. Montilva is a team player and professional who is passionate about employee training and awareness as well as the planning and successful execution of projects.

For the past five (5) years she has been actively involved in developing HSE Policies and Programs to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.   She has pursued studies at the OSHA Training Institute, Red Rocks Community College USA, the University of the West Indies and the Cirpiani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies.

Kenneth Samlal

Kenneth Samlal

Mr. Samlal is a registered Electrical Engineer / HSE Consultant with over thirty (30) years experience in private and public institutions and organizations in Trinidad and Tobago, the region and Canada.

His involvement as part of the management team at the National Energy Skills Center for eight (8) years, afforded him the opportunity to successfully transfer an internationally recognized technician programme from Alberta Industry Training Canada to Trinidad without compromising the quality and standards.  Therefore, he is well positioned to produce quality training and consultancy services at any establishment in Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. Samlal holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a BSc in Biochemistry from Concordia University.  Under Mr. Samlal’s stewardship, over 250 graduates have successfully completed programmes in HSE at different levels.  In addition, he has the distinction of being one of the few City & Guilds External Verifiers for their Engineering and Advanced Oil and Gas Programmes.

Mr. Samlal is a member in good standing with the National Safety Council (NSC) USA, Institute of Occupational Safety and Health UK (IOSH), American Society of Quality (ASQ) and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) UK. The Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago (APETT) and the Board of Engineering (BOE) of Trinidad and Tobago.




Reesa Sylvester


Mrs. Reesa Sylvester-Gill is a dedicated professional, whose career objective is to develop business acumen and contribute to the protection of people, property and the environment through excellence in HSE management.  She is no stranger to the energy industry or the HSE field, with a keen appreciation of the crucial link between economic viability of the country and the sustainable development of the oil and gas sector in Trinidad and Tobago.

Mrs. Sylvester-Gill has more than 5 yrs experience with a leading petrochemical company in the local energy sector. Her current assignment is client interface between contractors (local and foreign) and her employer, facilitating alignment of HSE performance standards and delivery of HSE requirements for construction projects within an operating plant. A significant part of this is ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental requirements as mandated by local and international regulations.
 
Her career also includes air quality, effluent treatment, noise pollution, contaminated land and waste management projects, which incorporated environmental compliance and auditing of the management system.
 
Mrs. Sylvester-Gill holds an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Natural Science from the University of the West Indies.


Shaban Ali



Mr. Shaban Ali is currently the HSE Manager (Ag.) of the Leading Mechanical, Engineering, and Construction Contractor with over 12 years experience in Health and Safety Management development and implementation.

He has worked in a variety of areas ranging from oil/gas processing, chemical plants, refinery upgrades, plant commissioning and construction.

Mr. Ali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of London, a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies, a Diploma in Business Management from the San Fernando Technical Institute and is a Certified OSHA 501 Trainer.


Virginia Hospedales


Ms. Virginia Hospedales has over 23 years experience as a Safety Professional within the Oil and Gas Sector, the Construction Industry and the Manufacturing Industry. Ms. Hospedales has been a Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, a HSE Lecturer and a Safety Trainer for over 16 years sharing safety knowledge on various Safety topics. She has been providing safety consultancy services for various companies over a period of 15 years and assisting them in becoming OSH compliant.  Ms. Hospedales has also developed HSE Management Systems that meets and exceeds both the OSHAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Standard.

Ms. Hospedales holds a BSC in Safety from the SHEQ Institute, a Nebosh Level 6 Diploma, Nebosh Certificate in Oil & Gas, a Nebosh General Certificate, Diploma in Safety Management Systems, Diploma in Safety Management level 3, and a Diploma in Health & Safety.  She also has extensive training and certification in OSHAS 18001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Quality Auditor.


Wendell Rattan



Mr. Wendell Rattan’s career began more than eleven years ago in the field of mechanical engineering working as a pilot plant technician at Point Lisas.  Being exposed to risk management at various levels, he quickly became interested in Health and Safety and was one of the first in Trinidad to graduate from COSTAATT with an Associate Degree in OSH.

His experience is quite diverse ranging from manufacturing and construction to oil and gasdrilling and production. Mr. Rattan has worked on Control of Work/Electronic Permit to Work projects for companies such as bpTT, Atlantic and bgtt. In recent years he worked for Petrofac (formerly RGIT Montrose), one of the world’s largest HSE training and consultancy firms. Mr. Rattan has consulted with hundreds of companies and trained thousands of individuals on the local and International arena.

His major challenges to-date include working on the BTC projectin Azerbaijan, Caspian Sea (world’s longest oil and gas pipeline) and the facilitation of the NEBOSH Oil and Gas Certificate pilot program in Aberdeen U.K. and Singapore.
